The Flame That Didn’t Want to Burn

“The Flame That Didn’t Want to Burn” – a warm-hearted story for your next kids’ yoga class.

“In a quiet forest, under starry skies, lived a small flame named Fia. She didn’t want to burn things down, just to be warm and kind. But others were afraid. “You’re too hot!” “You’ll cause trouble!”

So Fia made herself smaller and smaller… until one day, the wind carried her into a silent cave.

There, she whispered: “Maybe it’s time I learn to glow, in my own way.”

  • Fia sat still, listening to her breath. – Sukhasana
“I don’t need to shine all the time.”
  • She softened, folding in like a quiet ember. – Paschimottanasana
    “Even fire can rest.”
  • She lifted herself with balance. – Bharmanasana
“I hold my shape with care.”
  • Fia glowed steady and strong. – Phalakasana
    “I am powerful without rushing.”
  • She opened her heart. – Bhujangasana
    “I shine with kindness.”
  • She stood tall and grounded. – Virabhadrasana II
“I can grow without losing control.”
  • Fia folded inward again. – Balasana
    “I return to myself.”
  • Finally, she sat tall, hands at her heart. – Padmasana
    “I carry my light within.”

That night, Fia didn’t hide. She flickered gently at the cave’s edge, and animals gathered near. She hadn’t changed who she was. She had just learned to trust her glow.”

You can close the session with: “Like Fia, we all carry a fire inside. One that warms, not burns.”
